Margaret Ruth (Blessman) Decourcy

Margaret “Maggie” Ruth DeCourcy, 62, of Shawnee, Kansas passed away November 12, 2022, surrounded by family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 21, 2022 at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas 66203.

Margaret was born on August 5, 1960 to Milton Keith Blessman and Margaret Alice Moss in Kansas City, Kansas.

Maggie spent many years as a FedEx courier, where she made countless friends with coworkers and customers alike. She was an avid shopper who loved to show off her great finds, and a lover of all animals, especially her chihuahua, Jimmy Joel. She could often be heard sharing stories about her beloved granddaughter Laney, with whom she shared a special bond.

Maggie is preceded in death by her father, Keith Blessman, her mother, Margaret Moss, and her brothers, Tim and Dennis Blessman.

Survivors include her daughter, Briana (Justin) Andrae; fiancé, Steve Klein; granddaughter, Laney Andrae.

She will be remembered by her many loved ones for her humor and her generous, loving spirit.
