Margaret M. Nelson

Margaret M. Nelson, 93, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away January 15, 2013.

She was born January 8, 1920, in Mitchell, South Dakota, to Ross and Martina (Ahern) Fowler. She graduated from Vermillion High School. Margaret worked for many years in the doctor‘s offices in Vermillion as an assistant.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Nelson, two sisters, and an infant son Tommy. She is survived by two sons, Dick Nelson and wife Ruby, and Jim Nelson and wife Leslie, and daughter Nancy Hecker. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be from 7:00-7:30 p.m., Monday, January 21, 2013, at Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory. A Rosary will follow at 7:30 p.m.

A visitation will also be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Hansen Funeral Home in Vermillion, South Dakota. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 24, 2013, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Vermillion, South Dakota. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.

Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to St. Agnes Catholic Church, Vermillion, South Dakota.
