Margaret Elaine Street

Margaret Elaine Street of Kansas City, KS passed away peacefully Jan 12, 2024. She was preceded by her husband Jack Street, her parents John and Hazel Loske, and her niece Kathleen Steineger. She is survived by her sister Norma Lee Winters, nephew George Winters III and her great niece Kisha Steineger

Elaine grew up in Kansas City Kansas with her sister and best friend Noma Lee Winters and attended Wyandotte High School. She graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in nursing before marrying her college sweetheart, Jack Street, and moving to Virginia. Elaine had a very successful career at the National Institute of Health in Washington DC where she specialized in computer programming. Following her retirement, Elaine enjoyed volunteering at the Smithsonian and Arlington house as a tour guide. Elaine moved back to Kansas in 2014 and loved spending time with friends and family. Elaine's lived up to her motto, which was "I'm always out having fun". She was a joy to be around, her sassy attitude and quick wit will be missed by her family and friends. The family would like to recognize Necole Boolin, Elaines' great friend and caregiver. Thank you Necole.
