Maria A. "Marianne" Cloven, 77 of Glen Carbon, formerly of Shawnee, Kansas passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Stillwater Senior Living in Edwardsville.

Maria was born on February 26, 1939 in Gaibach, Germany; a daughter of the late Sebastian and Anna (Eisenmann) Kelber. Maria was a homemaker and mom who loved her family and always put their needs before her own. She will be remembered for her generous heart and all the special times she shared with her family and friends.

She is survived by and will be missed by her daughters; Janice and (Neal) Scoggin of Glen Carbon, Claudia Rushlow of Jacksonville, FL; her grandchildren, Jesse Rushlow, Sarah Scoggin, Sondra Scoggin; her great-grandchildren, Jake Rushlow, Chloe Rushlow.

In addition to her parents, Maria was preceded in death by her husband; Charles W. Cloven, whom she married on January 4, 1963; her brothers, Andreas Kelber, Franz Kelber, Georg Kelber; her sister, Elfriede Herrde.

Graveside Services

In celebration of her life, graveside services will be held on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas with Pastor Mark Willis officiating. Memorials are suggested to The Wounded Warrior's.
