Marian Kay Mahoney

Marian Kay (Aurand) Mahoney, 73, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Feb. 20, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born on Sept. 30, 1942, in Superior, NE, and was raised in Jewell County, KS. Marian retired from Pyramid Life Insurance Co., where she worked for many years as a Programmer/Systems Analyst. Marian is survived by her husband, James Mahoney, son, Quentin Craig (Karen) Leece, daughter, Leslie Adams, grandchildren, Porter, Braegen, and Cohen Adams, sisters, Thelma Day, Vera Aurand, brother, Ray (Marlene) Aurand, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Pauline (Griffith) Aurand, brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Mary Jo Aurand, and brother-in-law, Darryl Day. A private, family visitation will be held at Amos Family Funeral Home. Floral tributes may be delivered to Amos Family Funeral Home by 10:00 a.m. Thursday.
