Marie E. Gregg

Marie E. Gregg was born on September 21, 1930 in McQueen, OK to Lee and Belle Upchurch, the middle of 5 children.  Marie died in her sleep on April 18, 2023.

Marie spent much of her life as a housewife and mother to three children.  She later became a secretary at Calvary Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO, and later at the Southern Baptist Association of Kansas City, where she worked for 17 years until her retirement in 1994.  She was awarded Secretary of the Year in 1981!

She is preceded in death by both parents, her brothers Thomas and Lawrence Upchurch and her sister, Dorothy Beaty, as well as her son, Robert Lee Frank (Beth Johnson).

Surviving family includes her sister, Wilma Harris of Wichita Falls, TX; 2 daughters, Donna Arnold (Duane) and Cyndi Flood (David); three grandsons, Tim Frias (Richee), Lyle Frank (Rahe) and Nathan Arnold (Leeanna); and five great-grandchildren, Alex, Cassie, Ella, Tanner and Kai.
