Marie Elena Montano

Marie Elena Montano, 73, Shawnee, KS (formerly of Mastic, NY) passed away Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016.

Marie was born Feb. 16, 1943 in Las Animas, CO to Louis J. and Adelina Montano. She lived in Mastic, NY for over 50 years and moved to Shawnee, KS in 2009. She was employed with Pathmark Grocery Store and retired in 2009. Following retirement, Marie worked at Price Chopper in West Shawnee, KS.

Marie is survived by her two daughters, Deborah Dawson and Brenda Montroy; sister, Esther (Bobby) Fernandez, Shawnee, KS; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm Tuesday at the Amos Family Funeral Home; burial Sat. Sept. 17 in Las Animas Cemetery, Las Animas, CO.
