Marietta E. Upton

Marietta E. Upton of Overland Park, Kansas went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 10, 2009.

Marietta was born on September 22, 1932, and she lived in Kansas City, Kansas. She was a graduate of Ward High School in 1950, and in 1952, she married George Upton.

Together, they had two Daughters: Marilyn K. Lord (husband Tim) of Bow, Washington, and Carolyn M. Bieser (husband Ray) of Blue Springs, Missouri; four Grand Children: Andrew Lord and wife Paula of Ferndale, WA, Kimberly Bieser Conner (husband Shannon) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jonathan Lord of Bow, Washington, and Michael Bieser of Blue Springs, Missouri.

Marietta was a Beautician for thirty-two years, and she had many wonderful customers who she enjoyed so very much. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Wilma M. Herman, and Father, Karl F. Herman, Brother, William F. Herman, and Sister, Barbara Barnhart. She leaves behind a Twin Sister: Loretta M. Coffey, Sister: Dorothy Doyle (husband Marvin), Brothers: Karl Herman, Joseph Herman (wife Mary Kay), Bernard Herman (wife Juanita), Albert Herman (wife Annette), James Herman (wife Beth), and Daniel Herman: Sister in Law: Hester (husband Merle Mills), and many Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation and Services

Memorial services will be at Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee, Kansas on Wednesday, July 15th, beginning with visitation at 10:30 am and memorial service at 11:30 am. Entombment will follow at the Resurrection Cemetery in Overland, Park, Kansas.
