Marilyn B. Carter, 90, died Monday, January 15, 2018 in Scottsdale, AZ. Marilyn was born in Coffeyville, KS to Orville and Bertha Stevens. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James B. "Jim" Carter, of Westwood, KS, brother Gerald Stevens and sisters Jeannette Thompson and Dee Donaldson. Jim Carter was a long time meat cutter in Kansas City and served as a union representative for Local 576. Marilyn is survived by her children Karen McGuire (Joe) and Charles Benedict, both of Arizona and brothers Carlton Stevens of Scottsdale, AZ and Richard Stevens (Phyllis) of Kansas City, MO.
Services will be Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Amos Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Ks. at 11 AM. Visitation with the family will begin at 10 AM.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City, 2502 Cherry Street, Kansas City, MO 64108
