Marilyn Kay (Shortley) Fuller, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on October 22, 2022.  Marilyn was born on August 21, 1939 to Daniel and Lucile Shortley in Lawler, Iowa.  She graduated from State Center High School.  She retired from the aircraft manufacturing industry in 1999 in Texas and moved to Kansas to be with her family.

Marilyn married her husband, Francis “Fritz”, on September 28, 1957.  Together, they had three children, Theresa, Kevin and Scott.

Marilyn is survived by her son, Scott (Lauren Weinhold); her sister, Dorothy (Raymond) Torres and her nieces Debbie (Larry) Knudsen; Diane (Wayne) Duncan and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Fritz; children, Theresa and Kevin; parents, Dan and Lucile; and sister, Sandy.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 29, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shawnee, Kansas, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial also at the church. Marilyn will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery in State Center, Iowa.

Marilyn will be dearly missed and always remembered by family and friends.
