Marilyn Patricia Nachbar

Marilyn Patricia Nachbar, born March 30th 1932 to Goldwin Keller and Marie O'Dowd returned to her heavenly home on October 21st, 2018. She was an ardent Catholic matriarch dedicated to sharing her gift of faith and devotion to the Blessed Mother with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Nachbar, daughter, Meghan Nachbar Fischer, parents and siblings. She is survived by her children, John (Patti) Nachbar, Bill (Cheryl) Nachbar, Kimberly (Steve) Mackey, Kevin (Mary Pat) Nachbar, and Melissa (Matt) Rose. She proudly leaves behind the legacy of 19 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Marilyn, also known as Pat, was raised in Kansas City, KS and graduated from Bishop Ward High School. She enjoyed her early days working for Proctor and Gamble where she met her husband Bill. They married on June 4, 1955 and raised their children in Shawnee, Kansas.  They made many memories at St. Joseph Catholic Church and in the community. Marilyn loved shopping with her children and grandchildren and enjoyed visiting with people while working at the Jones Store. Pat was a current and active member of Ascension Parish in Overland Park, KS.

The Rosary will begin at 6 pm with visitation immediately following until 8 pm on Tuesday, October 23rd at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 11311 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS.  A Mass of Catholic Burial will take place on Wednesday, October 24th at 10 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shawnee, Kansas.
