Marion E. Anderson

Marion E. Anderson, 98, passed away on Sept. 23, 2017 at her home. Marion was born October 26, 1918 in Kansas City, Missouri to William and Lula Andreas. She was a supervisor in the crystal department at Jules Borel and Company for many years. She was an active member of Roeland Park UMC. Prior to joining the Methodist Church, she was an active soldier in the Salvation Army. Earl and Marion were united in married on December 5, 1943.  Marion is survived by her daughters; Meloa Gallup,  Donna Blackwell and Mary (Walter) Bradley, grandchildren; Shawn (Amy) Gallup, Kaylynne Blackwell, William D. (Lynn) Blackwell, Devin, Kiel and Caley Bradley, great-grandchildren; Kendall Bixler, Justin and Jessica Gallup, Delaney Radtke, Liam and Hudson Blackwell, nephews; Bill (Juanita) Weber, John (Lois) Weber, David (Shirley) Weber, Michael (Bonnie) Weber, Richard (Martha) Weber and Patrick (Marilyn) Weber, nieces; Linda (Robert) Reaney and Jane (Thomas) Waller, honorary grandchildren, Regina Munoz, Jeremy Johnson and  Heidi Johnson, honorary nieces, Lisa Bingham and Heidi Bailey, son-in-law, William J. Blackwell. Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Earl, parents, twin sister, Mary Weber, son-in-law, David Gallup, granddaughter, Barbara Bixler, niece, Barbara Weber and her beloved cat Pip.

A Visitation is set for 6:00 ~ 8:00 PM, Friday, Sept. 29, 2017 at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, KS 66203. A Funeral service is set for 10:00 AM, Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017 at Roeland Park United Methodist Church, 5110 Cedar Street, Roeland Park, Kansas 66205. Burial is set for Green Lawn Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri.

Memorial contributions in Marion's name may be made to the Salvation Army or Ascend Hospice or Roeland Park United Methodist Church.
