Marion “Bud” A. Kremer

Marion "Bud" Arthur Kremer, 70, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Brookdale Rosehill Nursing home.

Bud was born May 20, 1947 in Kansas City, MO to Arthur and Mary (Boeding) Kremer. He graduated from Saint Joseph High School in 1965 and from Donnelly College of Kansas City, KS in 1967.  Bud honorably served In the U.S. Navy from 1968 to 1972. Bud and Mary Schroeger were married in 1967 and had two children prior to their divorce in 1985. In 1989 he married Karleen (Wegener) Kremer, whom he cherished.

Bud worked in transportation, was an entrepreneur and handyman that loved gardening and helping friends and neighbors. He worked diligently until his retirement in 2013. Most of his weekends were spent fishing at local lakes.  Working on small engines and doing outdoor yard work were also some of Bud's favorite pastimes.  Bud loved spending time with his friends and family.  Bud is survived by his two brothers, Don Kremer and family, Acworth, GA and Leon Kremer and family, Basehor, KS, and one sister, Mary Alice Fritz and family, Wichita, KS.  His two children, Phillip Kremer, Shawnee, KS and Paula (Kremer) Frank and her husband Bradley, Liberty, MO; two grandchildren, Evelyn and George Frank. Bud was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Mary Kremer and his beloved wife Karleen.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, KS 66203.  Visitation with the family will be from 10-11:00 am with a prayer service to immediately follow.  A private burial service will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS at a later date.
