Mark Eugene Cashman

Mark Eugene Cashman passed away on June 27th at 8:23 PM at Ascension Medical Center in Austin Texas. He was born May 6, 1954 to Mary M and Samuel E Cashman at Providence Hospital in Kansas City Kansas. He was preceded in death by his younger brother David E Cashman and both parents.

Mark is survived by a brother, Bill Cashman of Shawnee KS, and a sister, Elizabeth Ann Cashman of Berlin, Vermont. He is also survived by a niece Amanda Kohn, two nephews Robert Cashman and Harley Ludwig, and two great nieces Laurel and Gwyneth Kohn, plus many cousins, aunts and uncles in the Cashman and Reschke families.

He began grade school at South Park in 1959. He subsequently attended Hocker Grove and graduated High School at Shawnee Mission Northwest. He lettered in football in 1969, 1970. He subsequently attended Kansas University. After a year and a half, he transferred to Pittsburgh State in Kansas.

Mark was always very independent. He started his first Real Estate business "Farm and Ranch” headquartered in Overland Park, KS, in 1979. In the mid 1980's he was ready for a change and moved to Dallas Texas for a year, then to Austin Texas where he remained until his death. In Austin he formed his second business venture "Campus Sportswear" making imprinted sportswear for all types of clothing. He loved Austin and put down roots by buying his first office warehouse building in 1986. He remained in Austin for the next 37 years.

The family will be holding a graveside service when he is buried at the Powhattan KS Cemetery. The cemetery is the final resting place for many of Mark's relatives.
