Mark James Griffin, Shawnee, KS, died Nov. 27. He was born Ocober16, 1949 in Kansas City, MO to Paul Griffin, Jr. and Helen Schweiger Griffin. He attended Visitation School, St. John's Seminary and Rockhurst High School. He graduated from Rockhurst University in 1971 with a B.S. in Physics. After graduation Mark began his career in information technology with AT&T, Storage TEK and Sun Microsystems. He retired from Open Technologies, Des Moines, IA in 2015. Mark is survived by his wife, Emily Bruning Griffin and three sons, Peter Griffin, Little Rock, AR; Thomas Griffin, Silver Spring, MD; and Michael Griffin, Denver, CO. He is survived as well by his sister Carey (Harold) Cribbs and his brothers David Griffin, Paul (Kristin) Griffin III, Daniel (Kimberly) Griffin, James (Margie) Griffin, John (Rhoda) Griffin and 17 nieces and nephews. He has also been blessed with the support of Emily's family, Emibel Bruning, William Bruning, Roger Bruning, Kathy Bussing and their spouses and children.

Services

A Celebration of life will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, April 8, 2016 at Amos Family Funeral Home 10901 Johnson Drive Shawnee, Kansas 66203.
