Mark John Puhak, 67, passed away on August 19, 2017. Mark was born September 24, 1949 in Sharon, Pennsylvania to John and Mary Puhak. He graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in Industrial Engineering which brought him to the KC area for his first job.  Mark was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was an avid traveler, visiting Europe 4 times, enjoying many cruises, experiencing new foods and cultures, and visiting various amusement parks.  He loved Kansas City sports, KU Basketball and managing/coaching his daughters' softball teams. He enjoyed entering contests and raffles. He always had a smile on his face and was ready to crack a joke. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Mark is survived by his wife of 38 years Debbie, daughters; Mandy (Devon) Thompson, Alexa (Nik Bentzinger) Puhak, siblings; Pat (Rosina) Puhak, Donna (Frank) Kusher, Bill (Janet) Puhak, Mary Ann (Ivan) Green, Ken (Cece) Puhak, two grandchildren; Reed, and his future sibling, and his 14 nieces and nephews. Mark was preceded in death by his parents.

Services

A Visitation is set for 6:00 ~ 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas 66203. A Mass of Christian Burial is set for 10:00 AM, Friday, August 25, 2017 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church 16000 W. 143rd Street, Olathe, Kansas 66062. Burial will take place at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
