Marlene Reynolds

Marlene Reynolds, 71, Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Shawnee Gardens Nursing Center.

Marlene was born May 6, 1941, in Yakima, Washington, married Robert Reynolds, Sr. at the age of 18 and settled in Kansas City to raise a family. Through good times and bad, Marlene's unassuming and loving nature endeared her to friends and all who interacted in her life. In her role as mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she was always a source of inspiration and unconditional love. Although departed, Marlene's presence will continue to be felt by family and loved ones through cherished memories.

Marlene was preceded in death by parents Sam and Jesse Coman and daughter, Terry Reynolds-Purvis. Survivors include her three sons, Robert Reynolds, Jr. and wife, Lyn of Overland Park, Kansas, John and Brian Reynolds, both of Springfield, Missouri; son-in-law, Chuck Purvis of Kansas City, Kansas; two brothers, Donald and Bill Coman both of Yakima, Washington; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 7, 2012, at the Amos Family Funeral Home & Crematory. Graveside service will follow at 11:45 a.m. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Kansas City, Kansas.
