Martha M. Otalora

Martha M. Otalora, 61, Olathe, Kansas, died unexpectedly January 1, 2010.

Martha was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky and graduated from the University of Kentucky. She moved to Kansas in 2003. Martha was a kind and gentle soul who cultivated her connection to nature while hiking with her son Dave in Kentucky's Red River Gorge. Martha created lovely colorful needlework.

Martha is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved son Dave. Survivors include her sister Judy Straka and her family, and her brothers Peter and David Kesheimer and their families. Martha also leaves five nieces and nephews and six great nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Martha's kind and loving caregivers at Evergreen Community.

Her family suggests donations be made in her memory to the Brain Injury Association of Kansas City, 6405 Metcalf Avenue, Suite 302, Overland Park, Kansas 66202.
