Martha Jane Young

Martha Jane Young, 88, Merriam, Kansas, passed away Friday, March 25, 2011, at her home. Marty was born September 3, 1922, in Union City, Indiana, to John F. and Lucretia (McFarland) Kantner.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and four brothers. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Frank E. Young; sons Rodney L. (Marsha) Young of Atlanta, Georgia and David M. (Marcia) Young of Shawnee, Kansas; grandchildren Heather, Richard (Tami) and Brian (Amy); step-grandchildren, Steven, Richard (Brandi) and Duane; six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service

A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Sunday, April 10, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.
