Their relationship blossomed, and in 1973, they married, embarking on a journey together that would span over five decades.
After earning his degree from Arkansas State University in 1975, Dale began his professional career, taking his first job in Memphis, Tennessee. In 1979, he and Alicia moved to Springfield, Missouri, where their family began to grow. In 1996, Dale and Alicia moved to Lenexa, Kansas, where they continued to build their lives and remain close to their children. In 2006 Dale suffered a traumatic brain injury drastically altering his day-to-day life. Alicia dedicated the next eighteen years ensuring Dale could spend his days surrounded by family and love; "she is definitely a keeper".
