Marvin H. Gish

Marvin Henry Gish, 83, Roeland Park, KS passed away Monday, Dec. 12, 2016 at the Resort of Kansas City Assisted Living, Kansas City, KS.

Marvin was born Dec. 22, 1932 in Topeka, KS to Charles and Agnes Gish. He was a graduate of Hayden High School. Marvin was in the Naval Reserve for four years and went on to serve in the 2nd Armored Division in the US Army. Marvin retired as the assistant district operating manager for Firestone Tire and Rubber Company.

Marvin is survived by his wife of 63 years, Kathryn Gish; two sons, Phillip (Wanda) Gish, Schuyler, NE and Jim (Joy) Gish, Belton, MO; two daughters, Teresa (John) Breitenstein, Kansas City, KS and Lori (Brian) Scott, DeSoto, KS; brother, Pat (Jean Ann) Gish, Overland Park, KS; 15 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16 at St. Mary St. Anthony Catholic Church; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Amos Family Funeral Home where a rosary recitation will be at 6:30 p.m.
