Marvin Wright

Marvin Fredrick Wright, 85, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away late Sunday, January 29, 2017. He was born April 14, 1931 in Everton, Missouri to John Samuel and Perna (Jones) Wright. He served as a Marine and worked as a Kansas Highway Patrolman, at Sunshine Biscuit, at Wolcott and Lincoln, and as Property Manager for The Overland Park Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret, their daughter Sarah Elizabeth, brother Arthur Wright, and sister Wanita Morehead.

He is survived by brothers John Wright of Wichita, Kansas, Conrad Wright of Ft Scott, Kansas, Robert Wright of Garnett, Kansas, sister Carol Fehr of Ft Scott, Kansas, daughters Deanna Wright and Alice Dexter of Shawnee, Kansas, sons David Wright of Spring Hill, Kansas, and James Wright of Shawnee, Kansas, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Visitation on Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Amos Family Funeral Home. Funeral service at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Amos Family Funeral Home. Burial at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens.
