Mary Elizabeth Aelmore

Mary Elizabeth Aelmore nee Anderson passed away peacefully at home with her daughter by her side on Friday June 2, 2023.  She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on October 5, 1937 to John Herbert Anderson and Virginia Anderson nee Threlkheld.  She was the eldest of four daughters born to Herbert and Virginia.  Mary, Jackie, Nancy, and Judi.  She attended Sanford B. Ladd Elementary School, Central Junior and Senior High School, then went on to attend Junior college.  She married Charles Augustus Aelmore on January 19, 1957.  They had two children, Mark Steven Aelmore and Marla Michelle Aelmore.

Mary was a homemaker and also worked from home as a transcriber for two different Court reporters. She was very active in Overland Park Christian Church where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and taught the Menninger Bible Study for many years.  She received a special award for her service to the church in 2014.  Mary was a wonderful sister, wife and mother and lived a life dedicated to serving the Lord.  She leaves her children and two of her sisters, Jackie and Judi.

A small private celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday June 7, 2023 at Antioch Park in Merriam, Kansas. She will be laid to rest in central Kansas on Thursday June 8th in a small private ceremony.
