Mary Jane Baird

October 10, 1919 — January 16, 2013

Mary Jane Baird, of Lakeview Village, Lenexa, Kansas, passed away peacefully in her home on January 16, 2013, with her family present.

Born October 10, 1919, in Kansas City, Missouri, to William and Mary Haifley Murray of Kingman, Kansas. She graduated from Kingman High School in 1937 and from the College of Emporia in 1941 with a B.M.E. She married William F. Keesecker in June, 1942 and celebrated over 50 years of marriage before he passed away on July 19, 1992. She married Jack Baird of Lakeview Village in October 1995 and enjoyed nearly 17 years of marriage before his death in April of 2012.

Mary was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, a gifted organist, a dedicated wife, and a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was loved dearly by all who knew her.

Mary Jane is survived by her daughters Rebecca Allen of Riceville, Florida and Sharon Procaccini of Overland Park, Kansas; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Her eldest daughter, Mary Beth Land passed away in January of 1995.

A service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 21, 2013, at Lakeview Village, Lenexa, Kansas, in the Heritage Room. A graveside service will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
