Jody Cain, 86, Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at the Trinity Nursing and Rehab, Merriam, Kansas.
Jody was born January 8, 1925, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Harold and Mary (Long) Hise. She graduated from East High School in Kansas City. Jody worked for Andy Klein Pontiac for over 35 years, where she coined the phrase, "Business is fine at Andy Klein". Following retirement, Jody worked part time for Weaver Auto Body and her son at Sante Fe Trails Plumbing. She was also a past president of the Board at Overland Park Christian Church.
Jody was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, C.A. Miller, a daughter Patricia Lynn Sharp and her second husband, Orlan L. "Shorty" Cain. Survivors include, son, Michael Sharp and wife, Christine, Shawnee, Kansas; three grandchildren, Fritz Sharp and wife, Colby, Kansas City, Kansas, Carli Jo Sharp and Taylor Michael Sharp, both of Shawnee, Kansas.
Grandma Jody touched many lives and will be greatly missed by everyone that ever met her. The family would like to thank the people from Delaware Highlands, Sweet Life at Rosehill, Shawnee Mission Medical Center and Trinity Lutheran Nursing and Rehab for the wonderful care they gave Grandma.

Funeral Service and Visitation
Funeral service will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee; burial in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri. Friends may call from 9:30-11:00 am Tuesday at the chapel.
