Mary Alice Coomer

Mary Emerick Huber Coomer passed away on July 4, 2020. She was the daughter of Lee William Emerick and Caroline Rose Kaiser Emerick. She was preceded in death by both parents, her brother Lee William Emerick Jr., and her 2 sisters Louise Maupin and Rose Lucille Maupin.

In Mary's working days at SOR she was a very diligent, organized leader and educator to her fellow workers. She would work rings around others, often telling the engineers what made things work better.

Mary is survived by her husband, William Dallas Coomer, her brother Charles Edward Emerick, 2 sisters: Sylvia Cox and Sandra Navarre.

2 children; John Huber and JoAnn Abendroth, 2 stepchildren, Chuck Coomer and Brett Coomer.

4 grandchildren: Joseph and Jessica Huber, Blaise and Marlena Abendroth, and 2 step grandchildren Aaron and Cody Coomer.

3 great grandchildren, Devon Anderson, MaKaela Edwards, and Jensen Abendroth.

Mary also leaves many nieces, nephews, and many good friends.

A funeral service will be held at Amos Family Funeral Home on Saturday, July 11th at 10:00 am. Burial will take place at Johnson County Memorial Gardens afterwards. Please be aware that due to COVID and safety precautions, we are limiting the number of people in our chapel to 45 for the funeral service.
