Mary Jeanne DeVaughn, 86, of Overland Park, KS, passed away June 1st, 2015. Jeanne was born February 12th, 1929 in Baltimore, MD. She attended Catholic High and went to work at Continental Can.

She was married November 26th, 1955 to Gilbert DeVaughn. They enjoyed 48 years of marriage. After a move to Atlanta, Jeanne and her family moved to Overland Park where she worked at Hillcrest Junior High.

Jeanne had a love for her family and was especially proud of her 5 grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and her extended family and had a special love for reading.

Jeanne is preceded in death by her husband, Gil, Mother, Ann, and brother, Charles.

She is survived by her daughters, Marianne Hardeman (Dan) and Nancy Burchstead (Brad). She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Megan, Nick, Ben, Gretchen and Olivia.

Services

Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 10:45 am, Friday, June 12th, at St. Pius Catholic Church, Mission, KS, with a Rosary at 10:45 am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Lenexa, KS.
