Mary Alice Dolan

Mary Alice Dolan, 88, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully at The Sweet Life nursing home Overland Park, Kansas, on March 25, 2013.

Mary Alice was the second daughter of John McKee and Mildred Augusta Ray of Kansas City, Missouri, and is survived by sister Peggy Smith and three children, John McKee (Mick) Dolan of Orlando, Florida, Joseph Martin Dolan of Phoenix, Arizona and Catherine Elizabeth Dolan Bierregaard of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in addition to five grand children.

Born in 1924, she survived the Great Depression and World War II, married the love of her life John Joseph (Jack) Dolan and raised three children in post war America. She was a loving wife and mother and devoted her entire life to family. She was active in church and school including St. Agnes Catholic Church of Roeland Park, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and St. Peter’s Episcopal Church both of Kansas City, Missouri, as well as St. Agnes Catholic School and Bishop Miege High School in Roeland Park, Kansas. She also supported numerous philanthropic organizations including American Disabled Veterans.

Funeral service will be at at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory.
