Mary E. (Yeager) Eveland

Mary E. (Yeager) Eveland, 63, passed away on December 5, 2023. Mary was born in Kansas City, Missouri on December 3rd, 1960. She graduated from Raytown South High School in 1979. On October 1st, 1988 she was married to Cliff Eveland in a beautiful ceremony at the Rose Garden in Loose Park.

Mary worked for the UFCW 576 as a business agent for many years. She then worked for Southwestern Bell for several years in business sales and management. Later, she took a position in Children’s Mercy Developmental and Behavioral Health department.

Mary was first and foremost an animal advocate. She raised many orphaned animals and returned them to the wild, or adopted them to good homes--including her own. She was generally loved by all, especially her husband Cliff, her sister Brenda Heavener and her family, and brother Frank Yeager and his family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8:00pm on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at the Amos Family Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mary may be made to Unleashed Animal Rescue , in honor of her great love of animals.
