Mary Catherine Flynn

Mary Catherine Flynn, entered new life on April 5, 2011, at Kansas City Hospice House.

Mary retired at age 80 after having held positions in journalism for 60 years.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents William and Margaret Flynn; an infant sister; sister Ann Warren and husband Woodrow; brothers Paul Flynn and Joseph N. Flynn; sister-in-law Barbara Wirth Flynn; and sister-in-law Emma Vogrin Flynn.

Survivors include Mary's brother, Tom Flynn; sister-in-law Elizabeth Grisnik Flynn; niece Kathleen Samalon and Bill Samalon; nephew Joseph M. Flynn and wife, Suz-Anne; great-nieces Kristine Wadley and daughter Grace and son Joseph Michael; Kourtney Honan and husband Rick and their daughter Suzanne and son Gavin; Keri Evans and husband Doug and their sons Cole, Wyatt and Owen and daughter Lydia; and a host of also treasured other relatives and friends.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64145.

Funeral Service

Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 noon, Friday, April 8, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 11311 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas. Entombment in Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum, Lenexa, Kansas.
