Mary Ann Timmons Plunkett, 84 passed away Monday, May 20, 2013, at the Homestead Memory Care, Oalthe, Kansas.
Mary was born July 27, 1928, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Guy and Henrietta Kanatzar. She was a 1945 graduate of Bishop Ward High School. Mary was a devoted wife and mother. Before Mary was married to Robert Franklin Timmons, she worked for Bell South Telephone Co. Later in life, Mary worked for Schrader Marketing Research Co. and Santa Plus, Inc.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert Franklin Timmons in 1990 and husband, Robert H. Plunkett, 2003; two sons, Michael Allen Timmons and Patrick Kevin Timmons; and sister, Betty Jo Bondank.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Karen Ann (Jay) Bruton, Houston, Texas, Gayle (Tony) Plunkett, Olathe, Kansas, Judy Timmons Hill, Kansas City, Missouri, Robert Franklin (Beth) Timmons, II, Troy, Missouri, Brenda Timmons (Michael DiSanto) Martin, Olathe, Kansas, Sharon Timmons (Mark) Jones, Fishers, Indiana, Shelly Timmons (Michael) Pritchett, Lee's Summit, Missouri, Kelly Timmons Lewis, Overland Park, Kansas; daughter-in-law, Terry McNulty Timmons; step-children, Jim (Sherrie) Plunkett, Kansas City, Missouri, and Carolyn Plunkett, Shawnee, Kansas; grandchildren, James C. Dyer, V, Ryan Jones, Brooke Jones-Jakubov, Stephen English, Bryan English, Shaun Hill, Justin Hill, Jennifer Timmons, Michael Timmons, Katie Timmons James, Rachael Martin, Thomas Martin, Lauren Martin, Natalie Coffin, Carly Jones, William Robert Jones, Nicholas Pritchett, Holley Lewis, Hannah Lewis, Mallory Lewis; step grandchildren, Allison Plunkett, Beth Plunkett, Andrea Plunkett and Ali Plunkett; and great grandchildren, Lauren Dyer, Bergen Dyer, Jade Ann Jones, Zachary Jones, Ava Jakubov, Ryder Jakubov, Joseph English, Jack English, Paul English, Michael English, Stella Plunkett-King, Harper Plunkett-King, Nathaniel Plunkett and Macaylah Bowers.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at the Amos Family Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 16000 W. 143rd Street, Olathe, Kansas; burial in the Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, Kansas.
