Mary Jean Shehan, 62, Prairie Village, KS passed away Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014 at her home, surrounded by her family. Mary was born June 18, 1952 in St. Louis, MO to Frank and Rose Sakaitis. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Stephen Shehan, in 2008. Survivors include her husband, Charles Vandervort; sons, Greg (Christie) Shehan, Olathe, KS and Jeff (Jerry Waddell) Shehan, Kansas City, KS; daughter, Angela (Ben) Shehan Wimer, Edgerton, KS; four sisters, Lynn Westfall, Tulsa, OK, Karen Mann, Olathe, KS, Jackie Cheek, Paola, KS and Joan Simpson, Garnett, KS; two step-sons, Steve Vandervort, Bixby, OK and Randy Vandervort, Broken Arrow, OK; five grandchildren, Hailey, Liam, Aiden and Quinnlan Shehan and Ellie Wimer.

Visitation and Services

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Thursday, Sept. 25 at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church; burial in the Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Wednesday at the Amos Family Funeral Home.
