Mary Soetaert, 89, Shawnee, KS passed away Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014 at Garden Terrace of Overland Park, KS. Mary was born May 29, 1924 in Kansas City, KS to David W. and Anna M. Pemberton. She was a 1942 graduate of St. JosephHigh School. On Nov. 24, 1945, Mary married Raymond J. Soetaert at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, and doing arts and crafts.

Mary is survived by her husband of 68 years, Raymond Soetaert; daughter, Susan (Robert Foose) Soetaert, Long Island, NY; two sons, Henry (Rosemary) Soetaert, LaCygne, KS and Richard (Janice) Soetaert, Shawnee, KS; three brothers, Jim, Bill and Gene Pemberton; sister, Ann Pemberton all of Shawnee, KS; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Funeral Mass and Visitation

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, March 4 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church; burial in the ResurrectionCemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 pm, Monday at the Amos Family Funeral Home, where a rosary recitation will be at 6:00 pm.
