Mary Martha Stine, 95, of Mission, KS, passed away on Dec. 19, 2017 at Villa St. Francis. She was born on Oct. 11, 1922 in Kansas City, MO, to Felix and Martha Fortin. Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Arthur W. Stine, Jr.; son, Robert J. Stine; brother, Felix D. Fortin, Jr.; great-grandson, Michael Saville. She is survived by her children, Susan (Terry) Mann, John (Jeanette) Stine; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Stine; sister, Helen Forsythe; 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Mary loved being being involved in her activities at St. Pius Church, especially the Young at Heart group and her circle friends. She and Art were founding members and parishioners at St. Pius for over fifty years. She loved to travel, especially to the mountains in Colorado and Broadway shows in New York. She was a great supporter of the arts, especially music and dance. Mary lived a full and happy life, she will be greatly missed by her many loved ones.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 5500 Woodson Rd. Mission, KS 66202, on Saturday at 11 a.m. Burial at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Lenexa, KS.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions to St. Pius X Catholic Church, 5500 Woodson Rd. Mission, KS 66202.
