Mary Evelyn Thomas, 78, passed away July 26, 2015 at her residence. Mary was born March 28, 1937 in Pittsburg, Kansas to Russell and Evelyn Pryer. Mary was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church for over 45 years and sang in the choir. Mary, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister is survived by her husband, George of 58 years, children; Debra Vanderlinden, Diana (Gerard) Van Hoet, David (Lisa) Thomas, brother, Robert Pryer, seven grandchildren; Brittany Eckert, Camial Van Hoet, William Thomas, Gabrielle Van Hoet, Jacob Thomas, Mathew Thomas and Morgan Thomas. Mary was preceded in death by a grandson, Christian Allen, brother, Russell Pryer and son-in-law, Daniel Vanderlinden.

Services

The visitation will take place Wednesday, July 29, 2015, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Amos Family Funeral Home 10901 Johnson Drive Shawnee, Kansas 66203. A Funeral service will take place 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Bethany Lutheran Church 9101 Lamar Ave. Overland Park, Kansas 66207. Burial will take place at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
