Mary L. Urban

Mary L. Urban, 88, of Shawnee, KS passed away on March 27th, 2021. She was born on November 1st, 1932 in Kansas City, MO. Mary worked at Universal Press Syndicate/Andrews & McMeel for 22 years before retiring in 2000. The love of Mary’s life were her grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 31st from 9:30 to 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial to start at 10:30.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Julia Katlin (Krulich); husband, Louis Urban; sisters, Frances Crawford and Diana Creviston; and brothers, Michael, William and John Katlin.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Patricia Dennis (Tom), Debora Solar (Rick), and son Dale Urban (Mary). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Julie Baum (Brian), Rebecca Dennis, John Solar (Haleigh), Steven Solar, Joe Solar (Andrea), Kyle Urban, David Urban; great-grandchildren, Jack, Charlotte and Amelia Solar; a step-granddaughter, Julie Cundy (Chris) and step-great-grandsons, Evan and Will Cundy, and brother, Donald Katlin. Memorial donations in Mary’s name may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
