Mary Annette Whitlow

June 19, 1929 — September 2, 2017

Mary Annette Whitlow, 88, Basehor, KS passed away September 2nd.  She was born on June 19, 1929 to Norine and William Adell in Accokeek, Maryland.  Annette was married to Donald Whitlow on April 4, 1959.  They enjoyed a full life together, traveling the country and spending time with family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Donald, daughter, Donna Kay Bernhardt, son, Gary Whitlow (Tammy), grandsons, Michael Smithng (Gina), Taylor Whitlow, Trevor Whitlow, great-granddaughter, Jennifer Smith, and sisters, Margaret Scarborough, Vera Otto, and Billie Whittington.  She was preceded in death by daughter, Deborah Ann Anderson and sister, Jenny Baden.

Annette was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and supported her husband's work in the Masonic Lodge.  After working many years as a bookkeeper at W & D Machinery, Annette retired and she and her husband moved to southern Missouri where she enjoyed gardening and learned to paint.  Annette enjoyed her family and was a terrific cook.  She was a loving mother and a proud grandmother and great-grandmother.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, September 10, 2017, at Amos Family Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, September 11, 2017, at St. Peter and All Saints Episcopal Church, 100 E. Red Bridge Road, Kansas City, Missouri.  Burial to follow at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
