Marylyn R. Martin, 93, of Lenexa, Kansas passed away July 30, 2014. Marylyn was born October 12, 1920, in Denver, Colorado and was raised in Salida, Colorado. She was a long time resident of Craig and Grand Junction and worked as the benefits manager for City Market prior to retiring in 1985 after 25 years. After retiring, she spent 15 years volunteering at St. Mary's Hospital. She was an active member of the First Christian Church and spent many hours devoted to church functions. Her only son, Bob West, had her join him in Kansas City in 2003 so that she could be close to his family. Marylyn was an avid outdoors woman. She spent her honeymoon in 1942 fishing on the Little Blue near Gunnison. She continued fishing until well into her 70's and could cook the best fried trout on the Western Slope. In addition to her son, she is survived by Bob's wife, Karen, and her grandson, Nicholas. She had many friends and admirers and will be missed by all.
