Matt Carman

Jonathan “Matt” Carman, 49, of Overland Park, KS passed away on January 23rd, 2023.  He was born on October 30th, 1973 in St. Louis, MO to Marilyn and John Carman.  A visitation will take place on Saturday, January 28th from 9:00 to 10:00 am at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS 66203.  A memorial service will immediately follow at 10:00 am.

Matt grew up in rural Hutchinson and graduated from Haven High School. Following high school, Matt first attended Kansas State University and later transferred to Kansas University.  Matt was employed by RGIS where he met his wife, Misty.  Most recently, Matt worked in quality control at Adepto Medical.  He loved to read and collect books, loved to explore music and was an excellent cook.  Matt had a love for animals and never found an animal that didn’t like him.

Matt is survived by his wife, Misty Carman; parents, John and Marilyn Carman of Greeley, CO; sisters, Betsey (Todd) Yoder of Windsor, CO and Lindsay (Matt) Wheeler of Cheyenne, WY; nieces, Grace and Katie Yoder and nephew, Joseph Wheeler.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Matt’s name may be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
