Matthew Whitson Mccarl

Matthew McCarl, age 21, died peacefully on Sunday, July 12, 2009.

He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Andrew Whitson McCarl. Many people will mourn Matthew’s passing including his parents, Leesa Whitson and Andrew McCarl; his brothers, Marcas and Marshall McCarl of Stanley, Kansas; his maternal grandparents, Bobbie and Jerry Whitson of Pomme De Terre Lake, Missouri; his paternal grandparents, Harry and Mary McCarl of Overland Park, Kansas; his maternal aunt and uncle, Lynne Whitson and Mike Smith of Bailey, Colorado; his paternal aunts and uncles, Jeff and Saundra McCarl of Chandler, Arizona; Scott and Carolyn McCarl of Santa Barbara, California; Deborah McCarl and Marilyn Skurdahl of St. Cloud, Minnesota; as well as his extended family, including his girlfriend of several years, Amber Garner of Overland Park, Kansas.

Matthew touched an enormous number of people in his life, imbuing each with grace, patience and bringing out good qualities they did not know they possessed. Those qualities, in turn, impacted the lives of the people his friends met and loved.

Memorial Service

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Valley View Methodist Church.
