Melda Mann

Melda Marie Katherine (Emme) Mann, Lenexa, Kansas, passed away peacefully October 9, 2010 at Kansas City Hospice House.

Melda was born in Agra, Kansas February 15, 1914, the first daughter of George E. and Eleanor S. (Miller) Emme. Melda served as a waitress for Waid's Restaurants in Prairie Village, Kansas, for over 30 years retiring in 1992.

Melda was most proud of her work ethic; she provided a guiding influence and was a loving and generous mother and grandmother. She will be genuinely missed by her family and friends.

Melda is survived by three daughters, Judith Royer, Lenexa; Connie (George) Mackey, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Ellie Ladusau, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Jay Mackey, Sr., Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Renee Scott, Overland Park, Kansas and Randall (Denise) Royer, Lenexa, Kansas; six great-grandchildren, Allison (Brandon) Epps, Kaitlin Scott, Jay Mackey, Jr., Alex Scott, Adam and Isabelle Royer and two great-great-grandsons, Jayden and Brandon Epps.

She was preceded in death by parents, George and Ella Emme, sisters and brothers-in-law, Verna (Ivan) Ferguson and Doris (James) Hagman, sons-in-law, Major Royer and Bill Ladusau, and grand-daughter-in-law, Jennifer Mackey.

The family requests donations to Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall, Kansas City, Missouri 64145 or Atonement Lutheran Church, 9948 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas 66212.

Memorial Services

Memorial Services will be held at Atonement Lutheran Church, Friday, October 15, at 11:00 a.m.
