Melinda Sue Crook, 33, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away Tuesday, August 17th, 2021. Melinda was born July 2nd, 1988 to David and Diana Crook in Kansas City, Missouri.
She grew up in Merriam, Kansas, where she was loved immensely by her sisters, friends, and community.
Melinda graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She worked as a nurse, helping where needed, and loved traveling. Melinda had a passion for cats, art, and fashion. She also loved going to First Fridays and art shows.
Melinda is survived by her father David Crook and wife Anita; mother, Diana Crook; three sisters, Stephanie Drake and husband, Dale; Rachael Crook; Becky Crook and husband, Bridger Egbert; nephew, Ryan Drake and niece, Alivia Drake.
Graveside services will be 2 pm Friday, Aug 27th at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens. Reception will be afterwards at 9112 Haskins St., Lenexa, KS 66215 at 4:30 pm. The family suggests memorial contributions in Melinda’s honor be made to the family c/o Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS 66203.
