Merle Louise Warrell

Merle Louise Warrell, of Lakeview Village, Lenexa, Kansas passed away peacefully October 16, 2021, at the age of 102. Merle was born in Kansas City, Kansas, the only child of Bess M (Staub) and Charles S Riedl.

She graduated from Washington (Rural) High School in 1937, attended the Sarashon-Hooley Secretarial School in Kansas City, Missouri, before working for the Harry Darby Corporation for 20 years. She married Seth W Warrell in 1941. Seth preceded her in death in 2019.

Merle is survived by her daughter, Peggy Ann Mendon (Michael), son Thomas Martin Warrell (Marie), granddaughters Amanda Mendon, Michele Miller (Jason), and Kathleen Warrell (Mattie Niznik), great-granddaughters Cecelia and Vivian Miller, and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Monday, October 25th, 2021 at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Kansas City, Kansas.

Merle had requested any memorials to be sent to the Abdallah Shriner's Hospital For Children Fund, or the Hillcrest Christian Church.
