Merrill Richard Bilyea

Merrill Richard Bilyea, 74, of Bonner Springs, Kansas, passed away October 19, 2012, at Bonner Health Care Center under the care of Southern Care Hospice.

Merrill graduated from the Missouri Military Academy in 1956. He worked as an Air Traffic Control Specialist for the FAA for 22 years.

Merrill was preceded in death by his wife, Catharine, parents, George and Cleo Bilyea, his sister, Rose and two brothers, George and David.

He is survived by his two daughters, Marilyn (Jonathon) Shepherd and Winifred (Gregory) Timmons; 10 grandchildren, Cassie, Justin and Patrick Lemmon, Jordan Fares, Philip Blair, Billy Williams, Megan Bilyea, Shayla, Alicia and Isaiah Timmons; 1 great-grandchild, Harley Dawn Lemmon; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be at 2:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m., on Friday, October 26, 2012, at Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory.
