Michael “Boston” W. Bois

On January 16, 2018, Michael "Boston" Bois, passed away peacefully at his home in Kansas City, KS. Michael was born in Boston, MA, and grew up in South Weymouth, MA. The son of the late William and Marie Bois, he was the oldest of six children. Michael graduated from Weymouth High School in Massachusetts and was employed for many years at Gillette Corp. and later in the roofing business. He was a hard worker and extremely dedicated to his job and profession. Michael, who was affectionately known as "Boston", enjoyed riding his motorcycle, traveling and living life to the beat of his own drum. He will be remembered for his unique sense of humor, cheeky sayings and larger than life personality which left its mark on everyone he met. He is survived by his children Katrina Bois of Hingham, MA & Michael Bois of Norfolk, MA. Sisters, Donna Dannevik of Lenexa, KS, Denise Carter of Overland Park, KS, and Marie Bois-Higgins of Bridgewater, MA. Brothers, Thomas Bois & William Bois of Marathon, FL. Nieces Dina Caldwell and Nicole Cannavo of Lenexa, KS.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 28th from 4 pm - 6 pm at Old Shawnee Town Hall, 11600 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS. Visitation with the family will begin at 4 pm with the celebration of life at 4:45 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
