Michael J. Hile, Jr.

Michael "Mike" Hile Jr., born July 12, 1968, in Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2024, in Shawnee, Kansas, at the age of 56. Mike was a dedicated and skilled IT professional at Commerce Bank, where he made significant contributions over the years.

Mike's life was rich with interests that included Boy Scouting and spending time with his family and children. He was profoundly involved in guiding his son through Boy Scouting, from Cub Scout to Eagle Scout, and shared unforgettable campouts with both of his children, Delaney and Max.

He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Judy Hile. Mike's legacy lives on through his surviving family members: his children, Delaney and Max, and their mother Erika Bauer; his father Michael (Sally) Hile, Sr.; and his sister Shelly Hile. He also leaves behind many treasured friends and extended family who will deeply miss his presence.

Services to honor Mike's life will be held at Queen of the Holy Rosary-Wea in Bucyrus, Kansas, on Wednesday, August 14th. The day will begin with a rosary at 9:30 am, followed by a mass at 10:00 am, and burial at 11:00 am. A luncheon will follow the burial, providing an opportunity for family and friends to gather and share memories of Mike.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Mike's honor to the Boy Scouts of America to sponsor future scouts, continuing his legacy of support and mentorship within the scouting community.

Michael Hile Jr.'s memory will be eternally cherished by those who knew and loved him.
