Michael Paul Hunter

Michael passed away, Mar. 14, 2018 at KU Med. He was born on June 1, 1975. He was 42 years old.

Michael attended St. Joseph Grade School and graduated from Shawnee Mission North in 1994. Michael also graduated from K-State University in 2002 with a B. S. degree in Business Administration. He was a member of the Alpha Phi Sigma national service fraternity.

Michael was employed by Old Shawnee Pizza for some 26 years. He also worked for Hunter Const. Co. and operated his own lawncare business for the last 10 years. Michael was the most caring person and was loved by all who knew him. Michael was a 27-year cancer survivor.

Survivors include his parents, Paul and Barbara Hunter, of Shawnee, KS; his brother, Ryan (Susan) and nephews, Austin and Cole, of Overland Park, KS. He is also survived by his aunt, Diane Hunter, of Raytown, MO; uncle, Glenn (Barbara) Hunter, of Surprise, AZ; his uncles, Dr. Charles (Juanita) Moran, Tom (Priscilla) Moran, James Edward Moran and aunt, Rita Moran, of Talent, OR. His beautiful Lab, Molly, was his special companion for the last nine years. He also leaves many cousins, nieces and nephews. Michael was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

The Rosary will be prayed at 5 p.m., Wednesday, March 21st followed by visitation until 7 p.m., at the Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, KS.
