Michael Reid Keeny

Michael Reid Keeny, son of Walter Eugene Keeny and Ferne Henrietta Van Loenen was born on the August 18, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri.

He served in the Air Force from 1972 to 1980 as a weather observer for the Strategic Air Command during which he started a family. First having a daughter, Jennifer and then a son Andrew with his wife Susan Katherine Coughlin. After the military he moved into computer programming for the next twenty one years, which after a brief hiatus, started doing government contract work. Mike’s hobby, and true love was history and the preservation of early colonial America.

He is preceded in death by his father, Walter Eugene, and is survived by his mother Ferne Henrietta; daughter Jennifer, son-in-law Edward; son Andrew, daughter-in-law Winter; sister Sandra; nephew Joseph; and grandchildren Gage, Kael, and Josy.

Memorial Service

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., August 13, 2011, at Deerbrook Covenant Church, 200 NE Tudor Road, Lee’s Summit, Missouri 64086. A graveside service will follow at Lee’s Summit Historical Cemetery.
