Michael Maderak

Michael "Mike" P. Maderak, 66, of Shawnee, Kansas, entered eternal rest peacefully on December 24, 2020, after a courageous four-year battle with cancer.

Mike was born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas. He was a bricklayer by trade, and carried on the family business as president of the Maderak Construction Company for many years. Mike was well-known and loved for his dedicated service to his parish, St. Joseph Church in Shawnee, the Boy Scouts, and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by Renee, his devoted wife of 29 years, sons Ryan (Therese), Stephen (Margaret) and Eli; eight grandchildren; his parents Joseph and Catherine; three brothers, Joseph, James and John and three sisters, Karen, Joanie and Jane, along with numerous nieces and a nephew.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 2 at 10:00 am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shawnee with inurnment to follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery. St. Joseph Catholic Church is live streaming the service and is available here.
