Michael L. McDaniel, 71, of Kansas City, KS passed away Tuesday, August 23rd 2016 at his home.

Mike was born February 26, 1945 to the late Melvin and Edna Mae McDaniel in Wichita, Kansas. He graduated from Washington High School and attended Ottawa State University. Mike had two green thumbs and loved gardening. He also enjoyed horse racing and preparing family meals. On January 25, 1991 Mike married Cecilia Hays/Harrell.

Mike is preceded in death by a brother, Steven Alexander-McDaniel and stepfather William Whitney. He is survived by his loving wife Cecilia; sister, Sally Farthing; a son, Michael Lynch, a brother, William Whitney and wife Gayle; a stepson, Jeffery Harrell and wife Gayle; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Memorial Visitation

Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Saturday, August 27th at the Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee.
